REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS

Workshop 1: “Standing Firm - when my faith is shaken”

Style – Hands On, Creative, Practical, Group sharing.

What does it look like to stand firm in doubt, grief, unanswered prayer etc? We will be learning from biblical women trusting God in uncertainty and it will be a workshop that allows women to create an art reflection or written response (prayer/poetry/Bible verse) engaging with six major ‘storms’ we can walk through as Christian women in life (grief, relationship harm, church trauma, friendship hurt, childhood pain, other) (capped at 25pp)

Workshop 2: “Standing firm in seasons of life”

Style – Seminar, personal reflection, some conversation with 2-3 people.

This workshop will cover the four seasons of life but with a special focus on women supporting ageing parents and/or children and grandchildren, and older women struggling with their own ageing. We will address the question “How do we as Christian women negotiate the changing seasons of life?” In this workshop we will explore the four seasons of life for women across our lifetime:
Spring – a time of learning and growth;
Summer – a time of earning and responsibilities;
Autumn – a time of change and learning how to let go, and
Winter – a time of reflection, final meaning making and ultimately death.
(capped at 20)

Workshop 3: “Looking back, Looking Forward”

Style – Interactive Seminar, personal reflection, group conversation.

In this workshop we will be investigating the lives of the close-knit group of disciples Jesus called to follow Him. Jesus loved this imperfect group he chose to walk the dusty roads of Galilea with and spent much time preparing them for His work after His earthly ministry had finished. We will be exploring our similarities between the disciples and our own journey. Investigating the importance of reinforcing our ability to stand firm on Jesus as we look back to see where we’ve been and how God has prepared us for our future to be able to stand firm with Him. A fun, informative, interactive workshop with some small group sharing  and personal reflection. (uncapped)

Workshop 4: “Growing through Stress”

Style –  Practical, Group Work, Personal reflection.

Are we active in renewing our minds and seeking specifically where God is at work in our spheres, or are we succumbing to the social norms and devilish lies that squash our potential? This workshop is skill based in terms of how to think differently and realign to God’s plans, as difficult as that may be. It’s not focussing on a ‘don’t stress’ approach to life, but rather an enabling to use the battles and strains of life as opportunities for growth and not opportunities for the evil one to grab a foothold in our lives. (capped at 25pp)

Workshop 5: “Armour Up - Are you fitted to fight?”

Style – Hands On, Practical, Group sharing.

God hasn’t left us empty handed, or without knowledge of our greatest adversary! This workshop is a visual and practical approach to applying the armour of God to our everyday circumstances. We will be looking at what it looks like to live faithfully in God’s righteousness, salvation, truth, peace and faith. We will delve into questions such as “how does applying God’s truth impact our ability to stand firm daily?” and “what does it look like practically to lift my shield against spiritual oppression, and wield the revealed word of the Lord as a counter attack?” (capped at 50)
