Start a Conversation
Resist the urge to correct, belittle or defend your beliefs. Instead, listen for meaning, seek to understand….. practice uncommon empathy! With each question, remember, this is a conversation, not a sales pitch for church. The most important thing is to listen, to getting to know this person and care for them.

- Have you ever thought about going again?
Engage in Community
People are the most important thing to God, so they are the most important to us! When we start a conversation, care for, love, and reach out to our neighbours, we create opportunities for discipleship. When you start engaging the people around you, you’ll have more opportunities to share the life and stories of Jesus.
Examples of Engaging in Community:
- Pray for your neighbours every day as you pass their homes on the way to and from work.
- Take every opportunity to show care (mow lawns, deliver a meal, send a note of encouragement: BLESS).
- Ask questions: Resist the urge to make every conversation about you.
