our Speakers
Allyson Beddoe
Allyson has been active in Christian ministry for over 30 years, since heading up her church’s kids ministry from the age of 13. She has been a part of Kiama Baptist for the last 19 years and has served in various aspects of ministry there for over 17 years. She has been on the pastoral team since 2018 and currently sits on the Baptist Association’s Assembly Council. Allyson is passionate about seeing people of all ages develop deep, intimate relationships with Jesus, and loves teaching God’s Word. She loves spending time with people, getting out on her stand-up paddle board, and reading. Allyson is married to Phil and they have 3 children – Cam (20), Rach (18), and Anna (16)
Jo Faletoese
Jo has a passion for sharing the light and love of Jesus with others. She is married to Tepa and they have been in ministry together for 30 years, with the last 16 years as pastors at Cross Central in Batemans Bay. Jo loves living and working in a regional town and making strong community connections. This year has seen Jo and Tepa adjust to being empty nesters, as all three of their daughters are now in university in Canberra. But, fortunately for Jo, there are still three toy poodles at home to care for and cuddle.
Workshops
WORKSHOPS ARE NOW OPEN!
Please note that this year we have had to cap most of the workshops due to the spaces we have available.
Please read through the following information and choose the workshop that you would like to attend. You will need to register separately for any additional people coming with you. Feel free to email them the registration link to make their own choice, or you can do it for them. This year, there are no additional costs for any workshops, however, note the stretch workshop requires BYO mat and stretchy clothes! Click the link at the bottom to open the workshop registration page.
Workshop 1: “Write Your Story”
Style – Hands On, Creative, Practical, Group sharing
Enjoy this workshop led by local children’s author, Philippa Cleall-Mierendorff. This time will incorporate reflection on what God has been laying on your heart in the lead up to SEEN and throughout the day. As part of the workshop, participants will create a spoken word/short story response that captures how God sees you and His purposes in your life (capped at 15pp)
Workshop 2: “Who Am I in God’s Story?”
Style – Seminar, personal reflection, some conversation with 2-3 people
This workshop will be looking at the fact that as ladies we wear many different hats but sometimes feel useless, especially in being used by God. We will explore the barriers we face, the things that shape our identity and how we can be useful in God’s kingdom right where we are. (uncapped)
Workshop 3: “Stretch 'n' Reflect” (At Capacity)
Style – Physically Active! Reflective, some conversation with 2-3 people
This workshop is an opportunity to get moving! Spend time stretching your body and enjoying meditating on and having God’s Word spoken over you! You will need to bring your own mat and suitable clothes for a stretch class! (capped at 20pp)
Workshop 4: “Living Your Best Life Where You Are”
Style – Group Work, Personal reflection, content
We all live in community whether it’s within family, work, or sport and leisure groups, so how can we best be the light and love of Jesus in our community? This workshop explores how we can have a godly impact on the lives of those around us. (capped at 50pp)
Workshop 5: “Reflective Creativity”
Style – Hands On, Creative, Practical, Group sharing
Come along and enjoy a reflective time where you examine what God is saying to you while creating art in response to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you; where/how you see yourself currently, or what/where He might be calling you into. (capped at 25pp)
